Stevens Pass 12/9

Hard, frozen, bad groomers, and flat light had me ending my first resort day since March 13th early.
No Tye Mill, Back side open...

season day - good practice!

Safe feeling setup.  Good people spacing. Takeout only services.

Good report. So I spoke to patrol on the phone and they made it sound like coverage was very good and they plan on opening the entire mountain including the backside this weekend. Is this true? Was coverage good to go off piste? Would 10 inches feel like a mid winter powder day or is the ice layer, or undulations of the snowpack (Sat for several weeks as they stayed closed) most likley needing more? Looking for a bit more detail.
