Lordy Lordy! Finally able to access TAY...wonder what was wrong? After a very short morning of skiing and a very
long wait to actually get to post here is all the info thats not worth reading anymore.....
Oooouuuucccchhhh! Big day - to pay the dues skiing really crappy conditions for all the lazy folks....
Arrived a little earlier to beat some of the slow drivers...very pleasant drive. Boots on, to the CHex
line way to early, light crowd to start and light crowd all short morning.
Skiing quality? Promise of sun on top of E early, but things got fuzzier and fuzzier all morning.
Good vis early to ski the 1 new untracked covering the kinda marginal grooming ruts and rocks and dirt
tracks and groomer oil stains (last one not really). Survived some runs early on LS and then started
the loop-d-loop route, REX to GV bowl to GVex to LS and repeat - not as fun as Monday and when the
fuzzy vis started showin up was time to bail - headed to FQex, just long enough to get a run or two.
Other - CB soup of the day was reported to be Vegy something or other, plus the seasonal Clam Chow and
Chilly. Parking was light with A maybe 1/8 over full, B and C had a fair amount of widley spaced car
rows - maybe only truely half full each.
Snow quality - brutal icy nasty rocky world...lots of fun when you knew where the rocks were. Marginal
grooming as expected when you go from spring slush heaven to icy cold nasty typical world. If not
for the increasing fog vis issues, it would have been a above average nasty early season getting
ready for pow days in Feb! But still a day of skiing and the glass was still over half full.
Snowing pretty hard when I drove away.
