Hamster Day Heaven - at least for me. Finally a normal light crowd, no lift lines, lots of rocks popping
out in places, conditions would be great for late April, but its early December.  Kinda grey early with
increasing sunshine and heat by early afternoon. Spent most of the day lapping REX and GVex lifts.
Ride REX ski GV bowl - best funnest, ride GVex and ski LS dodging more rocks all morning.  Bumped into
the Ferks late morning and had a nice social ski with them.  Finished my day with a few runs on FQex to
check conditions for #1 - nice groomer leftovers when I did them. Last run down Queens to SnowGarden to left
side of  Chair 4 area in the sun was very nice and pleasant. Longest day for my legs this season thanks
to the lack of crowds. Lots of fast vertical and some nice bumps.

Other - Did FQex to check the soup at CB lodge, Clam Chow plus maybe Vegy something. The Fish Shack was
open but only serving liquid items.  Parking was light - A lot mostly empty with a number of cars flagged
for not having permits (whats the penalty? no boots yet). B maybe half plus full, C 3/4 or so,
didnt notice much in the other lots.  Drive up (just early enough) and down pleasant at speed, no Elk
sightings.  Did see a fox crossing Chicken Shot middle section heading to lower Door Trees - very fuzzy
fur ball.

Fun work out day finally with typical early season crowds and lift lines!

Ditto ddk as far as the ski report.  Here's some additional fun facts.  The sign just out of Enumclaw again said Crystal was sold out.  But after passing through the 'Claw at 7:45, only saw 2 cars until we pulled into the parking lot.  Once on the mountain, there was relatively few people and zero lift lines all day.  How can this be a sold out day?  Ran into my favorite patroller and asked her.  She said Crystal's limit on lift tickets is set by a combination of chairs and acreage open for skiing.  When they closed both C6 and Northway, they had to cut way back on lift tickets.  I guess they sold 5,000 tickets on Friday, and I think she said they were limited to 2,000 today (hard to hear over the very loud REX motor).  But having skied both days, those numbers seemed about right.  Crystal also furloughed a bunch of employees.

On our lunchtime run up to the top of FQ for a bathroom break, we noticed people having some very nice looking Bloody Mary's.  LD and I opted to try them.  $13 got a very strong 16 oz Bloody Mary.  I watched the guy empty a bottle into mine that had at least 3 shots left in it.  The mix was delicious and it was garnished with 2 olives, a gherkin pickle, and a slice of bacon.  Highly recommended.

We both made the CD reference vert for the first time this season, in spite of the lunch time cocktail break.  I credit the lack of lift lines today.  Unfortunately, Crystal needs snow measured in feet not inches to recover from the thaw this past week.

Great report!  Thank You.  I heard the rocks under Rainier Express were bad.  Do you think a 10 inch dump would be game changing or more like 12-18 I would imagine. I am liking the Monday models currently but just how thin is the steeper off piste terrain?  Exterminator?

Thanks
