Very Nice Morning - Arrived at 8:15, boots on, jumped into the front of the CHex singles line and got lucky
to find three hardcores who allowed me to ride to the top with them. Bigger bonus was lifts loading at 8:30
before most folks realized it.  So I had a number of GV Bowl (skier right very happy) and nice early empty
runs on LS. Kept alternating GV Bowl and then LS bumps (upper pitch very happy bumps for me).  Only pain was
even though I'm not that slow on groomers, the racer jerks were in full throttle cutting around and in front
of many folks.  #1 would have been very unhappy. Kept up a good pace on the rock free areas I was skiing,
but around 11 the crowds and lift lines started to increase. So headed over to FQex for one ride up to check
out the soup of the day at CB lodge. From there checked out Queens over to Chair 4 area for #1 - skied very
pleasantly and the left side of the  Chair 4 slope was nice packed carveable snow. Snow was going full on
spring on the south facing slopes. Northerly slopes had nice packed styro snow.  Fun morning with my new
STD (season to date) vert high total in a very short time and the extra bonus of happy quads in the bumps!

Other  - CB lodge had Clam chow again, rumor tomorrow would be different, will check again on Monday. Fair
crowd around CB lodge enjoying the nice sunny warm conditions - WARM? Yes!

Other other -  A pay lot was less than half full, B and C were packed, as was D and E. Folks driving with
ski racks all the way to the Claw.

Warm from the start, but with radiation cooled snow, the northish faces were a good start for some small styrofoam packed pow bumps before hitting the crunch. Once the Frontside softened, everyone headed there. It was a little lumpy-crunchy at first. Once we smoothed out the previous day's cross-hill ruts it was time to start getting the ole ski brain in gear and we spread out onto the fall line. From Showtime to Gully Gully we all picked our favorite and it was go fast or get run over. Dump a layer, dump the coat, and keep going. Some late-morning line build slowed the show for awhile, but didn’t affect the stoke. About 1:00, the re-crunch started in the shade and by 1:30 the softness was fading rapidly.Ken
