Stormy Day!  Big winds, impacted lifts, REX running slow and one early morning total screwup on FQex gave us
the pleasure of some chilling time.  Otherwise a nice snowy day with ever better quality and some fair pockets
of new down low in protected areas. Only got a couple of runs up  REX with LS runs down - first one almost white
out with the big winds, second with #1 was much more pleasant, but the racer crowd stressed #1. Lines were early
season semi normal in the covid times. Fun morning with #1 getting a long day for her early season.  The new snow
and wind blow into the "secret" areas should make the next couple of sunny days really big. And lots of wind scoured areas.

Other - Arrived a little early and managed to get a left over front row spot in A, when we left most of  A was
empty. B was over half full and C 3/4's and that was most of the crowd...so relatively light. Drive up and down
was mostly good.

Other Other - Asked CB lodge what the soup of the day was: Clam Chow (think it was the soup of the month). The
base massive tent structure is still in work, but looks close.  Fun stormy ski day...sadly we'll be missing a
few of the next.  Have a great ski and make a turn or two for us!

There were no lift lines to speak of, just a few walk ups. The gondola was on wind hold all day. Six and Northway never opened.  A lot was half empty waste of space. B lot was 2/3 full, C lot was 3/4 full.  It looked like mostly overnighters D with a few in E. there were lots of shuttles running. The invisibility was challenging with varying degrees of  snowing white out.  It cleared a bit towards the afternoon.  It was too windy to take a lunch break on the picnic tables at the Campbell Basin Lodge so we used the picnic tables at the base. It was a short break.  The snow was a bit wind affected and heavy, with some pretty good stuff in spots. The depth very from 3 inches to 6 inches or so where you could find blow in. There was not a lot of grooming. Most of the upper mountain was not groomed.  In spite of all this it was a halfway decent day. We had fun and we're glad we went. If you're into groomers, Downhill and Rolling Knowles were good for our warm up runs to our warm down runs.  I think I only hit one rock all day.
