Another day, another learning moment.... Was running solo since #1 was not happy with Wednesday, arrived just early
enough to get the last front row whimpy A lot parking. Boots on at the truck and then got my spot in the CHex line,
second single slot (was mentally stressed about the single situation based on recent observations, but today what
single lines I suffered were not to painful - lift line control folks are really doing a great job in this new
normal). REX was running (yee haa), did the old process - GV Bowl (very nice) and then LS to REX - multiple lapes
till the REX line started to build. Headed to FQex to get to HC - just in time. No lines at all on HC, another
happy Yee Haa! Did multiple laps out to Hamburger - first one a mental challenge dodging the rocks, but second
lap pretty casual (stay low skier left is the best rock free path). Hamburger skied very nice. Getting off the top
of 6 is all over the place nasty. But as my wimpy legs got tired of the 20 minute traverse to Hamburger, decided
to do PB! Nice and happy. LS shot bumps skier right side made me even happier. Looked at the REX line and bailed
to Stumpfarm - nice spring warming soft snow. Mass crowd around the base, but not as bad as Wednesday. Though
the Bucket had a very impressive stupid lineup!
Other - Didnt check the CB lodge soup since I only passed by once to early. Food looked busy at the base. The new
tent structure at the base was finally getting its outer cover today. Pulled out way to early again, but with
a lot more vert than recently. Pay lot was maybe half full, B,C,D,E,H all full with shuttles once again packed
with no noticeable social distancing. F lot only had a few cars, but there was still a stream of cars on 410
heading up or somewhere?
Other other - Heard the Wednesday crowd was 6k or so with maybe a problem with the reservation system (rumor should
be somewhere between 3 and 5K at most). Also heard they will not only ding you for making a res and
not showing up multiple times, but also after one warning about not having a res you dont get to ski that day! YES!
All in all a very pleasant short morning of great sunshine and blue skies!

It doesn't appear that Crystal's reservation system is connected to the system that checks lift tickets. They need to get this sorted out before the gov starts to notice. And, 20 minute traverse to Hamburger? Surely you jest. Oh, I forgot...ski time. When you're in the zone, 5 minutes feels like 20. Anyway, here's to hoping Monday brings back reduced non-holiday crowds. Stevens is targeting Dec. 4 for opening, so after next week, that should help with the crowds at Crystal.
