Snow conditions - Ice.Many varieties. Skidded smooth ice, also with rocks. Lumpy crunchy ice. And crowded mayhem ice. There was one OK run of firm-but-carvable moguls that was fun. Until the bottom where the chair had a 15-minute line.
.
It grew to 20-25 minutes by the time we loaded. On the way back to Rex, to avoid skidding on uncarvable ice into piles of icy crunch on Iceberg, we tried Memorial. And, regretted it. And then found the line for Rex was over 20 minutes.Crystal seems to have done nothing to limit the number of people coming to the mountain. With COVID restrictions on chair loading, the long lines take twice as much time as normal. So, we made a quick exit. At the base, there was a huge line for Chinook and an even longer line for the Gondola. At 11:00, the lines to pick up tickets still stretched out into the parking lot and the line for rental equipment was across the plaza. All the lots were full, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and a steady stream of cars still coming up was spilling into the supposedly closed F Lot. A warm weekend won’t be kind to the snow. And freezing it again for next week……. Hope they sort this out.Ken
