A very nice 3 out of 5 day.  Weather was better than expected with off and on sun and some wind starting at 10:30, but not enough to be uncomfortable or affect the lifts.  Visibility was good most of the day.  Snow was firm, but coverage was excellent and everything was skiable except the front side.  Didn't see any takers on Powderbowl, but vis might have been an issue up there.  Quit on the early side primarily due to recovery from surgery last month.  Pulling out around 1, pay lot was half full, B and C lots full.  It was kinda crowded today even with the limited reservations.

Got the gang back together today, finally. Seems everyone is recovering from something these days and, we all got together on the mountain. Hidden behind masks, no carpooling, and no lodge sitting made the reunion a little tougher. CD, pushed the back surgery recovery schedule - was a standout. I was planning on getting strong while he took it easy. Nope, gotta keep up.The weather was warmish in the morning and other than a cold ridgetop wind, got even warmer down low. Again, there wasn’t a way to tell which aspects were hard crunchy junk, cold skidded ice, or soft bumps that grew bigger as the day went on. An in-and-out fog and reports of lots of rocks kept us off of Powder Bowl and on more pleasant runs such as Vally Bowl, Grubstake, Ann’s Run, Collar Bone, West Face, and some groomers. A few forays here and there showed the entire Frontside, C3 Chairline, and Snorting Elk were wisely left alone.A quick FQ ride for a COVID safe bathroom break found the lower mountain was groomed. The low angle groomers were OK I guess, Iceberg and Luckyshot got very scrapped and icy - both had rocks cropping up by day’s end.As it got warmer, it wasn’t encouraging, just showed how frozen gloppy it will be tomorrow. As it crisped up, scrapped down, and the rocks emerged, our Reunion Tour headed for home. Amigoette and I, both healthy now, enjoyed our new short commute. And our new expensive short walk to the car.
