AaaaaaHaaaaa! Sorry this is a ultra wordy report... Almost normal "new" normal.  Arrived at the new early time
of 8:30 - few rows back in a very mess of the A lot parking. Anybody want to sign up for parking lot crew?
No evidence of parking lot "guides". Got ready slowly to wait for the CHex linup to empty out - no early opening
today like it sounds the weekend was.  Dumped #1 at the top of CHex, she to FQex me to Rex, nice sunny vis, better
than expected. 3 to 4 new nice snow over the groomers helped recover from the Saturday sun heat.  GV Bowl was worth
repeats, MIFB not worth repeats (groomed smooth with a layer of new, but very icy under - might need some extra
edge sharpening on the EXP's). Like said Valley was nice, LS was doable but not recommended for #1 do to speed bombers
and others, plus that hard frozen layer underneath. Headed over to FQex to makeup with #1 - pleasant early, not to
crowded and nice quality all in all.  But the 10:30 crowd showed up, did a run down to the base via CH 4 skiers left
side - very nice again today, untracked 4+ fun and no lineup on CHex.  After a pleasant morn, #1 took a break at
CB lodge while I did a PB lap - kinda unlucky timing since the vis was fading, made it somewhat challenging, but
chasing after the Fireman helped.  Headed back to hookup with #1, but since the vis was very in and out and both
of us had a very nice day we decided on one last run down Queens to Rock Garden to CH 4 skier left side for a very
happy way to finish a nice day.

Other - CB lodge is starting to serve food. Soup today was Clam Chow, Pizza were being cooked plus other items.
Order at the main entrance, Bathrooms available from the right side doors, space for warming inside by the
bathrooms, but all food consumption must happen outside and the benches outside are limited during prime time.

Other other - Parking looked like a total disaster today (parking attendants? Didnt notice any) A lot fuller than
I've noticed but mostly from bad parking. Same in B lot which was fullish, but all over the place, C full and
also badly parked, C and D kinda full and lordy that was it.

Other other other - Fireman report was lower Northway was rock heaven and nasty, Top of CH 6 heading to PB was  a
rock fest and still low on snow coverage (nice new carpet next to the top shack, but
could have been twice as long).  PB would have skied nicely with better vis if I hadnt been so dang nice to #1.
Heard from Eskinmo that Silver Basin was great for repeats on Saturday.

Fun day, first early season day over the last three that I can say I met my minimum vert-o-meter meter.  Ready for
more. Glad to be sliding on snow again.

Other than the big lineup on CHEX in the morning, the lines were just ski up, mill around, and then get on the lift.  There was a nice lifty on REX kept reminding people to cover their noses, so cover up in the lift lines.  Middle Ferks/Iceberg lived up to its name and was one and done for us. Lucky shot got scraped down to ice and piles. The coverage is still good for early season. There are a few more rocks cropping out, with one really bad bare spot on the left side of Lucky Shot where one of the roads joins in.  We ended up eating lunch on a picnic table by the Campbell basin Lodge.  It stayed cold, was sunny for about two hours, and was FUN.

More snow and less cold than forecast.  3" fresh and no crowds except briefly loading ChEx.  North-facing aspects gave lasting fresh on crust.  Snorting Elk good, West Face good enough for multiple laps.  Then it was groomers on FQ to finish the day as others have said.  Very fine conditions for before Thanksgiving!
