We arrived at Government Camp just as the flock was leaving Mt. Hood Meadows and Timberline. There had been a 1-1/2 hour delay due to the icy road, heavy traffic, and a couple of accidents. We found a parking area but there were numerous folks digging out their cars after the past weekend storm. We have Timberline/Fusion Passes for the Powder Alliance with 3 days at all of the other member ski areas.
Tuesday was a sunny day with no new snow and overnight temperatures in the mid teens. This is a time of school breaks so there were many groups of kids. The good thing was their great coverage and grooming. The bad thing was that Molly and the Magic Mile lifts weren't running. The "Terrain Parks" are BIG with few riders. Most are snowboard folks with very few skiers - it was nice. It was a great morning of cruising on a cold, sunny day.
