What, another 5 out of 5 day? Yup.
6 inches of new and 16 degrees at opening under clearing skies. Mostly clear skies all day until some light snow flurries in the afternoon. Still, 2 out of 2 for weather.
The snow was fantastic once again. Skied Ramcharger and Thunder Wolf waiting for Shedhorn to open. In the process, discovered yet another couple new runs. At 11:00, suffered the ride up Swift Current thinking surely Shedhorn would be open by then. Nope. So worked our way across the mountain to have lunch at Madison base. Spent the afternoon discovering lot's of great powder runs from the top of Lone Tree to the bottom of 6 Shooter. No one was out there. Kind of a drag having to ride two chairs, but the snow and runs just kept us coming back. Broken Heart was a favorite today. Finished with a new gnarly line down Challenger. 3 out of 3 for snow.
The tram was broken today (again). Heard some people talking on the lift that Lone Peak is gaining elevation and causing issues for the tram as it is increasing in height faster than the tram engineers had planned. May force a replacement at some point. Will need to research that rumor further.
