It is another sunny day with no winds, yet and the temperature in the 30's and going to 50.
Not too many places that you can see a desert and a BIG Lake. Lake Tahoe is there but it is "dealing with a stratus cloud layer sitting just above the lake thanks to the overnight inversions."
I start the day on the Nevada side on the Stagecoach lift. It normally opens the lift at 9am but the weekend opens at 8:30am. No lift lines. Add the locals with a great smile. The locals I met usually begin in Nevada and avoid the tourist folks on the CA side. The CA side has all the lodging and 2 Gondolas. It was a short day to avoid any lift lines and perfect groomers. Ride the Stagecoach, Olympic, Dipper and Comet express lifts.
