Arrived 1pm lot-A add-on spot, just as rain was changing over to snow. Various cars poorly parked in new white marked parking spots resulting in a bunch of 1-car rows.. Many parking opportunities. Need snowpack in lot so we can revert to normal parking order. Fairly big attendance today with C & D lots mostly full, but minimal lines on the lifts. Upper A lot half full.  Frontside was open with great cover and nice medium density pow until you reached anything below ~5500' like under the steepest face under REX.. where the rain damage began with everything lower down being a few new over half frozen nasty mank. GV skied well under the lift.. didn't check anything else.  Snowpack great until ~5000 elevation where it became pretty thin so need another few feet to open stuff like lower-E, bull, deer-fly. Happy first day for me and #1. Did not see ddk, who likes to be extra friendly with my #1!
