I expected a snow day but it held off. What we did find was about 6 in of fairly light new that made for a fun day. Brooks, Daisy, Sky, and Hogs were open with limited terrain on each. The new snow got scraped on the main runs, but the edges and the limited off piste stayed nice. Visability started out good, then some fog came in, then the fog dissipated and it got good again.
Just walk up lines, even on Hogs.
The Granite Peaks Lodge remodel came out OK. The bar area is a lot bigger and the first floor snack bar got a redo.
Downside is the Blue Trail on Hogs will now be a terrain park. It was closed today.
I sure hope this rising freezing level is short lived as I don't think we have ever skied Stevens with this small of a base.
Still well worth going.
