Light snow all day only added up to 2-3". Thats not great, but it all helps.main problem now is the lack of open trails. This creates dangerous, crowded trails, and I have seen an unreal amount of people down and carted out. Patrol tells me that most injuries have been relatively minor as the speeds are low because of the crowds. Nevertheless, some veteran riders with good edges and judgement have been slipping under the ropes and finding poor - but uncrowded big mountain vertical. Today the rope went down on lower Olympic. I bet tomorrow it goes down on Upper. This, and other closed runs being opened soon,'should help with the overcrowding on the trails....Then there's the Alpine....Haven't been, but might poke around tomorrow or Wednesday. My guess is that Harmony and Glacier, plus Crystal could be open soon, but more on that later. When they open, it would still be just on smooth runs. The big boulders need several more feet.
