Nice Goldilocks kinda day - not to warm/not to cold, snow not to soft/sticky/not to icy, just right!! Light crowd, good groomers early, great off piste bumps! Big ridge top winds and sunny to filtered sun! Just a prime happy hamster kinda day. We hadn't been to Kirkwood in way to long and not a lot has changed. But we've never seen the snowpack so deep - lots of terrain features are completely buried! And they're closing next weekend! Locals said it was a great season and they're sad its ending.
Other - Drive from Sacramento was very nice,but it took 3 hours, drive from Renton was 13 hour's -Â ouch! Longest road trip #1 has ever suffered. Took advantage of the vip parking, but it cost $10. Used our Whistler Edge cards to cut the outrageous ticket window price -thanks! Don't know what the soup was - didn't have time. Food sounded limited.
