Fun weird day, ultra light crowd (season is over), empty lifts, first couple hours had sun and blue skies, grooming early (for me LS and MIFB) was pretty bumpy and tense-ish even on the ultra smooth sections of corduroy, but heard and later experienced with #1 the groomers on FQex, which were very nice and there was less wind. Big winds on top that kept getting stronger till just after we left - upper lifts closed as we left and looking at the telemetry why? Less wind after they closed the top than all mid day. MIFB got ultra smooth ice skating quality which was better than the bumpy grooming early, so the mid day Hamster runs (and actually most of my Hamster day) was pounding GV Bowl to MIFB - GV Bowl skiers right side was good enough for the EXP's (though most folks I know would have been whining). Did one very conservative PB run after lunch that was not repeated - doable but not recommended for most folks. Couple inches new over the last couple of fog out days helped improve things - but not enough for most. Fun day all in all if you don't have chores to do. #1 was very happy with the empty slopes.

Other - Soup at CB lodge was TB, I had the ultra supreme combo pizza (very big slice and very good, thanks Alex), #1 had a BLT. Empty lodge, empty slopes, empty lifts and even empty parking lots - only A had cars and not even full with a nice small pay lot. Drive up and down was at happy no traffic speed with lots of elk in the morning just past Greenwater. #1 had big fun and skied a lot and I have to say that I survived another mostly groomer (plus GV Bowl) day.
