Today? Wasn't yesterday for sure. Ultra light early rush on CHex and Rex it was pretty much ultra light all (ultra short for me) day! Wimpy slow brain, tired muscles from yesterdays workout, very grey fuzzy vis early morning led to groomer runs off Rex - LS very nice, MIFB kinda variably what ever...glad I did it only during good vis moments! Doors still good and trees provided vis. Tired brain kept me from doing things that probably would have been happy. Off piste I did was pleasant and got the muscle/brain stuff working - mostly Doors. Vis was in and out, but mostly pretty good on the front side of Rex. Probably good north, Chair 6 and PB never looked good enough to suck me up and my tired brain with plans to ski with #1 tomorrow made me lazy enough to quit ultra early with more than enough vert to call it a day. Twas a good day and everyone I talked to was having fun...
Other - Had a nice early CB lodge stop...ultra big pepperoni slice of pizza with a lot of pepperoni (heard that sadly last years CB lodge head cook got axed for ???? can I say it drugs ??? hhhmm...lift ops, cat drivers, patrol - maybe yes....but the folks cooking? so sad...it is government land - kinda like the boarder crossing between BC and Washington - dangerous place - thanks). Soup was a repeat and the server indicated it was the soup of the week? hhhmmmm. Pay lot big and not full, not any real buses, got a space a lot closer up in the free A lot today, a lot less racers around, rest of B, C, D and E full - but nobody in F! Yee Haa! and tomorrow is the start of truly week day casual! Drive up and down was at happy speed...haven't seen many elk recently.
ps - Snow quality where I skied was very nice, a little firmer and lumpier off piste but still nice.
