Big day, big deep new powder, big crowds, big lift problems(on CHex anyway - slowed the masses from getting to REX), big snow fall all morning refilling the slopes, biggest lift lines so far this year (on REX at least, but mostly gone by noon), big old tired muscles (didn't expect that), new snow was somewhat cascade heavy, vis was a little fuzzy with all the snow falling, grooming was not obvious do to all the new snow that fell after the cats got done. Skied really only from the the edges of LS to the Doors to SunnySide with one run down Rolling Knowles on my way back from an early visit to CB lodge, Chair 6 lineup looked to big for my lazy self today. Today was another way to short of a day, but it was very good. Snow coverage is getting pretty impressive and everything was open by the time I left. The next few days should be very nice.
Other - Soup at CB lodge was Chicken Noodle again (their gonna spoil me), lodge was busy early and the base lodge was a total disaster of humans filling every possible space when I left. Pay lot was big and fuller than I've ever seen it, rest of the lots were also crammed full with lots of folks circling around looking for someplace to park. Drive up extra extra early (and still just barely got a front row spot on CHex) was pretty easy but slick on the Blvd with a car in the ditch. Drive down was mostly reasonable with lots of traffic still heading up. Definitely one of the biggest (if not biggest) crowds on the mountain - kinda surprised me, didn't expect it to be that busy.
