After 4 days in be good social hell - Got to go skiing today! Early load, light early crowd, light early snow to full on dump by 11, not light crowds in the lodges when I passed through, South facing got way sun impacted over the last 4 days, North facing very happy - but challenging early with the snow storm, very nice conditions mid day with almost sun and great bump skiing vis...PB/BP's great after early lunch, GV and Grubstake(!) great snow, skier right shoulder of MIFB very doable - bottom of MIFB did have some rock and dirt marks from the grooming. Top of PB on the ridge is a rock fest - once you drop in mighty fine. Bumps big already in the slot I did in BP's, Grooming pretty great everywhere early (LS,MIFB) and very nice over on FQex while I was skiing with #1, but a lot of high traffic areas did have some pretty nice ice. Crowds started showing up mid day and it was almost getting busy by the time we left - especially the Bucket lineup. Was getting pretty fuzzy vis when we left.
Other - CB lodge had the Triple C for soup, only half the food stations open (weekday? already?), got a couple pretty good pizza slices - self serve so you can pick the best piece. #1 had a CD BLT on Glut free bun - she looked happy. As noted lots of folks in the lodges - was windy and cold and stormy and snowy. No lift lines most of the day while we were there - except for the Bucket.
Other Other - Pay lot was more massive than I every remember seeing (and it was a massive waste of empty space when we left - mostly empty, max space between rows). Drive up early was pleasant, drive down was fun with some passing required. Fun day, old person start over old body get in shape skiing day. Should be fun tomorrow.
