aaaaahhhhh...Never gonna complain about having to ski only FQex or GV!... Skiing only the one path again today was kinda challenging after the 10th time...but it was a good start for #1. Arrived ski season typical, nice quiet lodge, lots of worker bees busy prepping for the season, more food options and employees than would be around this early in the season - especially with the ski conditions and the ultra light crowd - light crowd - DUH! Snow quality was not as nice as on opening day, definitely firmer. Only had the CHex restraining bar put done once today with no warning. Another kinda short day - heck its early.
Other - Lots of happy employees to visit with, new food service manager has read the last couple of years of comments and has lots of ideas to improve things. Rode the Bucket for the first time this season (for the views - not much other than GV). Met the new food managers wife at the top lodge - very nice lady looking forward to putting down some more long term roots. Had a nice salad with #1, had nice walk around bucket rides up and down.
Other other - Pay lot was massively over sized and totally empty...rest of A lot would have fit in the wasted space, so it was a very quiet nice easy day for us (very good for #1 since the limited slopes could have been overly crowded)
Other other other - The snow making lake now has water in it, so it sounds like there will be a lot more snow making happening the next few day with the cold weather...might be kinda nice on Sunday. And maybe some more natural snow? Tracks in GV looked nice!
