Kinda a 5" surprise overnight helped fill in spots and keep things soft for a while. For me the fun was that patrol did open the top for hiking! Not many were prepared, so I lucked out and got first tracks of the season on the whole Saddle slope top to bottom! That's a Helicopter solo run! Another guy I had shared the trail with, went all the way to Flute and skied the whole shoulder! Others were skiing Harmony Ridge and/or dropping in some of the steep north faces. I went back a second time and had a great run on the T-Bar slope in Glacier Bowl. Last morning for me tomorrow.
Question of the day is could they open the top this weekend??? I have no inside knowledge, but there is a lot of snow up there and it wouldn't surprise me. They were heli bombing today, and doing work in the Alpine...If I hear, I'll let you know.
