Short Report - Variable.
Wordy Report - Arrived early as usual...to a nice empty A lot...Sucker sunny before CHex started loading, but fuzzy grey almost goggle wiper conditions by the time I got to the top...and that was pretty much the first hour with one damper precip blip...then the vis started improving with sun breaks and cloud breaks and more sun and more sun....Snow was softy - especially off piste which was 4" of nice soft manky mush...skiable with the Coombas, but kinda slow and grabby and sticky in places...Lots of areas got even sticker for us as the day went on - should have gone totally warm wax....next time for sure. No crowds, no lift lines, not many folks period. The most off piste I did was GV Bowl - a number of times trying to ski out a line...Looked at PB in the early afternoon sun - saw a few not impressive skier/boarders....Then saw a few "real" skiers slice and dice the middle - by then I wasn't in the mood to test my brain. Some good skiing, groomers (LS and MIFB) got nice and soft (but stickyish slow)...felt kinda cool early (having gone light on the clothes), but it was very pleasant when the sun finally made its full appearance.
Other - CB lodge was in full operation and the Chicken Noodle was very good with a side of meaty pizza....but it was very empty and it sounds like this weekend and next may be it for food service there.
Heard rumors that some of Crystal management is kinda wishing they had not extended the season....So sad that folks give up completely so quickly...but when a couple of wet days happen during the week and what looks like another very nice day tomorrow!!! Ended up having fun as usual...only a couple more Fridays left...at Crystal at least. Pay lot small and not full, the rest of A lot was full and that was pretty much it (noticed that now that the A lot is free of snow folks are starting to park in the summer painted spots - actually had a couple different folks tell me I was not in a marked spot...since I parked right next to one of the Pay Lot signs - kinda funny... Easy fast drive up and down today in nice day light.

Nice work ddk,
I worked today and got home from Seattle with enough time to grab the wife and head up for a Friday night skin.
Left parking lot at 5 and toured up to the ski area boundary in Silver Basin in very pleasant evening sun.
The storm clouds were brewing as we de-skinned and headed down the Elk for some delicious Elk Frost and dinner.
Nice turns on freshly groomed corduroy!
Date night and a skin after work ... can't beat that,
