Short Report - Survived the first hour of nasty white out icy LS runs...and then vis started improving, eventually getting nice easy soft skiing on Upper Ferks to MIFB (which had not been skied much early and was very nice smooth soft spring - those heat rays from the sun can soften most anything this time of the year). It was getting nice and sunny early to mid afternoon. Very sticky at the base when I left.
More Words - Arrived extra early...just cause of the easy fast drive, lots of elk, big lineup (not really) for CHex since the Bucket was on wind hold...not much noticeable wind at the base or anywhere except for the very top of REX where it was definitely blowing. Vis all day was great looking towards Rainier from the backside road to LS. Never a lift line, not many folks sliding today. Did a run out Snort Elk bowl...fairly nice and one in the bumps by Grubstake Trees...also doable...one run down GV Bowl which was kinda bouncy (close but not close enough). Snow was nice and soft on Downhill to Rolling Knolls. Good day all in all...could have been better...could have been a lot worse...but not many days left at Crystal, so I guess every day is a good day.
Other - CB lodge had the Triple C for soup again...I had to much pizza...pay lot nice an small, some cars in C and B, shuttles were running.
