March 14th 2018 Bonus day at Crystal

Snow below midway was very stiff so we did many
Valley Berg, a couple Luckys and several Blazing Elks. 
The cocoa at CB Lodge was watery.  No pizza 'cept
Friday-Sunday, so pocket PB&J is was.  What was weird was the
"shooting cracks",slabs & sluffs in GV.  Must of been something to it as they
were controlling North after closing.   Visibility was just
OK.  It snowed another 3" after closing so should be good tomorrow.

Good job young man, keep looking for that "perfect turn", nice work.

Wed. was a bonus day before the Thu. bonus bonus day. We took the trailer up for the first time, paid our dues by setting up in the rain, then it turned to snow and we watched it come down in the parking lot and at the Elk all evening. AM temp. was 32 in B lot. 5" heavy playful stuff, poor vis. but enough to help bounce off the stiff wet underlayer. The slopes were almost empty everywhere; First Chance Chutes would've been lonely without me. Chair 6 was foggy and skiddy and 00 Left was my only run. Conditions were nice enough that my wife took her first run into Northway, and enjoyed it
