March 11th, 2018, Kicking Horse

Stellar weather day.  Big views.   No new snow for a week, North aspect steep slopes were packed, but not icy.   South aspect steep slopes had moguls that softened in the afternoon.     Good hike to terrain was sampled.    Lift system is a bit limiting.  Gondola has 4100 foot gain, but upper chair lift only services south aspect moderate slopes.  If you ski any steep north aspect slopes, you have ski 3000 vert on blue groomers or black moguls to ride the gondola again.
