Short Report - Nice day, windier than hoped for, nice sunny with some high wispy clouds, ultra light crowd, ultra fast screamer groomers early (second day on the BMW's finally clicks the high speed groomer ski world for me - and they still work mighty fine in the north facing bumps and the spring slush on the front side of REX). Mr Ferk was moving snow around at the top of HC mid day to make up for who ever drove the baby cat up top...he was doing a great job covering up the newly dug up rocks. Great day, got soft mid day, wish I had more leg since the early afternoon was prime both north facing and south facing even with the ridge top winds.
More Words - Arrived typically early to a very quiet end of season Crystal. Very pleasant, but since I was kinda cold early yesterday, I dressed a little warmer with lots of warm weather gear just in case...never really got warm enough to bring the Hawaii gear out. The East winds helped slow the total melt down today, but the front side of REX and MIFB got pretty nice and fast and soft. As noted we never had a lift line anywhere. Nice seeing and skiing a few runs with myikcat today...
Other - Soup at CB lodge was the White Bean Sausage Green stuff....Had a bowl and it was very good, no pizza today ( heard they make a lot more money off the Rice Bowls...etc...made #1 happy and the tastes I got were very good). Pay lot reasonably sized and reasonably full, and other than cars in the front of the B lot that was about it for folks parking (good thing since today was another no shuttle day).
Drive up was very solitary and the drive down was fast enough (with a few passing spots)...Very nice day and as we all know tomorrow will be a whole different world...Glad I scheduled a dentist appointment 6 months ago...
