Short Report - Very Nice, very glad I went now that the main ski season is over for most folks.
Wordy Report - Arrived extra early do to the time change... But only got real first CHex chair ride and jumped to -1 chair riding up REX...Kinda grey high broken overcast with winds that made it feel colder than expected for the early morning screamer groomer runs (had dressed light which was great by mid day).
HC opened early and PB was the Hamster run of the day...primo early and still very primo on my last cycle after lunch - lots of laps. BP's main line was perfect sun warmed by mid morning (probably earlier would have worked). SunnySide (and the whole frontside) was spring warm soft by mid day (heard it took close to 2pm on Saturday). Did a few laps out to Hamburger while the mid morning cluster through FQex was going. Skied nice, but not as nice as PB (or GV Bowl skier right side) and the traverse out there is never ending - but actually fast and easy. Lots of rocks popping out at the top of HC...still easy to get through but.... The high clouds did finally blow through around mid morning and the sun and heat started to do its magic. Great day, no lift lines on HC, pretty mellow lines on REX and the singles line worked fine on the mess at FQex. Starting skiing an hour earlier was nice. Looking forward to a really casual Monday with #1.
Other - Soup at CB lodge was Clam Chow again...Pizza was very good while sitting outside. Pay lot was massive and as usual not full...B,C,D,E all full (no parking in F today). Drive up and back was mostly at speed.
Other Other - Hopefully BINX will post and let us all know how great the King has been the last couple of days...or maybe anywhere else also...he was fired up this morning...gotta be those cough drops!
