Short Report - Early nice Sun, Cold - but I actually started over heating after the early groomers screamers, CHex line was gone after the 3rd or 4th chair, couple of early groomers off of REX where very pleasant/cold/fast...then the day was spent in Hamster mode from PB/BP, OuterFerks(very nice), last Door (mighty okay today), Lucky Trees, SunnySide (yaa for JD), Memorial Forest, The Plunge, Melby's to Snakepit (thanks BINX)....with the end of day run with #1 out Kelly's Gap (I skied a lot of runs with #1....Mr BINX! She was having a very good day). As noted big sun early, then the fuz kinda blew in, okay vis mostly, snowing pretty good most of mid day which was noticeable addition to the early morning new smoke covering the slopes. Never a lift line, very happy small crowd on the slopes, pretty big vert-oh-meter in the treadmill for this season (for me anyway) on the very happy RockCoombas again today. Still some hard ice spots in places pretty much everywhere (especially lower E), but the soft go anywhere snow far outweighed the little scrappy spots. All in all a very nice day in the core area.
Wordy Report - See the Short Report....#1 had a lot of fun today, she started the day on REX which was great to see...Enjoyed riding a few lifts and skiing a few runs with BINX and crowd - and had a lot of fun runs with #1...
Other - Soup at CB lodge was the White Bean Sausage green thingy....I had a very unusual but tasty Chili Dog Pizza? Tasted better than it might sound - thanks Chub! Parking was sort of typical, relatively big pay lot that actually got fairly full, bus lot only had one bus, B and C actually had cars parked to their shuttle stops.
Other other - Drive up in the lowlands was slow, 410 from the Claw was fast and empty, passed the work zone around 7:20 and it was quiet, passed the work zone this afternoon and it was full on busy, but the drive through was just a slow down...might be a lot worse on busy days.

Frickin' great day!!! I think everything skied well, maybe a few skidded off places but nothing to complain
about. Got to make a couple runs with ddk, Thanks, We enjoy his company? Front side, north, upper E,
Melbys, etc, all good.
Very small crowd and perfect temperatures hovering about 15 degrees. Nice to have WINTER!!!
No soup report from this skier, but I did eat my Cliff bar that expired 11/2015 thats been in my pack
going through freeze, thaw cycles. Not Great.

A treemendous day. Arrived 8:30. Temp = 10F. Warm up run was Right Angle, Hole in the Wall, meadows under Rock Face, lower E. Next up was Boondoggle. Next up was Fardoggle (repeat). Elizabeth Creek per se was very nice, especially when approached from Ben's Point.
Lunch was tasty beef stew (not runny). Heard from 2 sources that the GV chair derailed and had to be shut down for a tad.
Three runs out north, including exiting the north boundary at E7 (old exit gate C) and making it back to the chair!!! Instantly repeated but along the White Dragon route (trees, water, holes, cliffs, sluff, chutes and plenty of untracked). Followed that memorable run with pillow bashing inside the gulley that rests between Penny's and Pucker's. This depression doesn't get much sun and was plenty deep (but the ribs were noticeable). And then they closed the Northway chair and that was that! Followed that all up with a run through the terrain park and a final ski out under C4.
We all agreed at the end of the day that we should have brought our powder skis. That being said, I was delighted in how my properly tuned Rossi Experience 88 all-mountain boards rode the deep snow. In many places, the snow eased past my knees and never hit any chunks that failed to pulverize.
No lines, no crowds, viz was very good in the trees. Never touched the front side. Conditions are so very good this week that we are all going back up with our big boards on Friday to slay the many untracked lines that remain out north and south. Â
