Went skiing today expecting light crowds, bluebird skies, and sub-optimal snow. Check, check, and check. So, a Quick foot 2 out of 3 day.

Only a couple cars ended up parking in C lot today mostly due to the pay parking being way too big again and not even half full when we left. Also, Google was having a retreat in the lower lodge and a ski day. Didn't impact the crowds at all. Rumor has it Amazon will be there tomorrow. Good thing they weren't there at the same time. Remember that scene in Ghost Busters when they crossed their plasma guns?

The cold clear mountain air was amazingly fresh and Mt. Baker was the clearest I've seen it this year. Off piste was un-skiable. The groomers were surprisingly good with an inch of granulated sugar on top of the corduroy. Unfortunately, it got scraped off MIFB too fast making the top half hard to edge and the bottom half pretty good. Lucky Shot stayed in good shape all day. Lower Bull and Deer Fly were not groomed, but Stump Farm was, so lot's of top to bottoms because there was zero line for the bucket and they were warm inside.

An interesting development driving down today. Instead of my car getting trashed due to all the salt, de-icer, and general gunk on the wet roads, it got dusted out with the aforementioned, salt, de-icer, and general gunk that had completely dried out making the drive down the blvd similar to a gravel logging road in the summer. Quite the dust billowing up behind the car.

Looking forward to a report from the putty truck for our resort in north Washington, Canada.
