Short (Way to early) Report - Glad I skied yesterday..Snow was softer and way springish today, vis was more out than in anywhere worth skiing, got lucky and had a few soft or smooth enough bumps to ski today - so it was not a total groomer day. LS and MIFB skied nice enough when you could see them. Early fog was pretty misty wet on the goggles. No crowd.

Wordy Report - Arrived typically early to a empty ski area that had the feel of late March in a end of season kinda day. Lots more brown in lots of areas...(well upper and lower MIFB and lower LS plus an area that I should know the name of at the bottom of REX). Snow quality on the groomers I did was very nice and as noted it would have been better if the vis was better. No crowds, no lift lines. Had a nice time skiing with Ron (someone I should have remembered but is now locked into my limited brain).
Nice views of Rainier (and everything to the West)...would have been nice having lifts running down into the park today...winds caused the big fog bank to hang onto most of GV and REX side of the mountain, some good vis at times, but not enough to stay very late today.

Other - Passed through CB lodge to check the soup...Triple C (with extra rice added per Miranda, either to give it nice body or to stretch out the supply on a slow day). Pizza looked great today especially the meatballa special (looked good yesterday also, Chub does make some nice pizzas)...but since it was an ultra short day...no need for lunch today...ding! Pay lot was still to big and still to empty...not many folks parked passed the A lot today. Fun day to ski some screamer blind runs and get a few bumps.

Buttery groomers and fog-blind skiing for a couple hours. Bring your goggle wiping cloth. It didn't take long to tire of the limited groomers you couldn't see, so we planned to let the fog dissipate during an excellent meatball pizza and beer break. My plan didn't work. But, it did get brighter - so it was a blinding white fog instead of blinding gray fog. Anything ungroomed was dangerously frozen glob. Lots of brown snow and some gravelly ice starting to appear. By noon the groomers were getting skidded and rutted. At least my skis said so, you still couldn't see your feet, and it was time to pull the plug. Not seeing any hope of improvement in the forecast.

Yes, a 0 for visibility today, a .5 for snow (really nice groomers, really un-nice off-piste), and a 1 for crowds. Lot's more smarter people stayed home today. So, a 1.5 score for today, the lowest since I started using the Quick foot rating method 5 weeks ago. Sad, given the 3 successive most excellent days last week.
