Short Report - Big Sun, Big views, Big nice early groomers, Big - not! Crowd, Big Fun, Big soft way early....just a might fine day. Totally
Hamster Heaven.
Long Wordy Report - Arrived typically early to a nice empty lot with a smallish sized Pay lot. Nice quiet empty lodge, got first CHex chair and
the lineup was gone by the 5th chair. A few screamer fast groomers on LS and GV Bowl bumps to MIFB (MIFB was primo groomed and even
more primo soft by 9am). Front side went off for me by 9:30 on SunnySide...repeat...repeat...10am HC was calling...PB/BP fun packed styro
to smooth untracked soft happy fun in Bearpits....Back to REX for more fun in the warm sun, from REX chair line to SunnySide to M-World (deep
soft mank that the RockCoombas really liked)....Back to another PB/BP's to GV Bowl bumps to (what I call) The Plunge - soft sun slushed fun....
nothing better than a half and half runs - packed styro cold bumps to soft mush go anywhere bumps....Just my happy kinda day. Rocks are
out there - getting off the top of Chair 6 is getting to be more effort and rocks/dirt is showing in places...but overall conditions couldn't be
better (unless we get some knee deep cold rocky mountain snow again). Quit extra early with big vert and tired legs from the Hamster
Treadmill....was just the right amount of fun! Only negative was my brain didn't pack my fun hot beach gear this morning...so I was a little
over heated...oh well still a great day in the warm spring(?) sun.
Other - Passed through CB lodge to smell the pizza...the soup was Triple C again (gonna start asking for some Chicken Noodle!)...managed
to walk out. Base had the White Bean Spicy Sausage soup (need a shorter name).Â
Other - Pay lot was small and surprisingly full, rest of A was full with some overflow towards C and a few rows in B......a very nice
back to normal week day crowd...even with it being a Wednesday bus day - only two buses. Â

I really like Quick foot's binary rating system. So, totally plagiarizing from him, here's the score for today. 1 for crowds...none. 1 for weather and visibility...warm, no wind, bluebird skies. And, 1 for snow. As ddk said, anything in the sun went off by 10am. Fast laps down the spring-soft moguls on the front side over and over again was the ticket. As well as GV to the right side of MIFB to avoid the rocks down the middle. So, a 3 out of 3 for today.

Wait, If it's binary, 1 + 1 + 1 = 11
Still holds.

Warm from the get-go, and a limited but 4-star day (that's 100 in binary). Valley Bumps were still packed pow and Iceberg was soft and smooth early. Turned into a soft/slushy bump day from Grubstake to Breakover. Limited options with the off-groomed either unconsolidated, icy in the shade, or skier groomed perfect bumps. Mid-day even the shaded Valley Bumps had a coat of soft slush. Perfect day for some learned-in-the-70s bump skiers. A non-crowd as I didn't see anyone other than our gang of 4 on The Frontside. Perfect. Didn't ski it, but Luckyshot was brown and browner as seen from Rex. Iceberg ground down after the perfect morning to a rocky afternoon. The right side that I don't call The Plunge held till late in the day. Won't be pleasant anywhere (most of the shade below Mid-Valley was pretty hard and icy already) when the temps drop or the clouds move in. First Hawaii shirt day of the year (for Scotsman).
