A beautiful day, finally some spring weather. All the dabs of new snow these last weeks weren’t friendly, as most of the off-piste was frozen lumps early and unconsolidated slop later. Luckily some big slides in Powder Bowl cleared off the new snow and they were excellent. And focused skier grooming on Showtime made a 50 foot wide path down the Frontside. It got really soft and deep in places. There was lots of wet snow slide activity and the lower left of Exterminator slid about 200 yards wide covering the traverse to Lower E with 3-4 feet of heavy setting softball size lumps. Since the weekend forecast looks to freeze or rain on the whole mess, I’m ending my season on a very high note.
