The alpine opened early again but it was only for the strong...Make a mental note "Don't hop on Matthews Traverse first thing in the morning when it's a raging blizzard coming in from the south or southwest..."
Symphony was a great place to hide and ski very nice powder in the glades and trees. We did that most of the morning and then skied down and up Blackcomb to ski Crystal Chair in the trees, but it was closed due to high winds. We found excellent snow skiing it from the Glacier Chair, but that was a slow way to do it.
Good day - but not the full powder day we were looking for.
