Big day, big blue sky, big warm, big screamer fast perfect groomers for the first 45 minutes…either GV Bowl (not groomer, but way fun) and MIFB or Lucky…great fun, till I had to start riding REX with folks…Nice Folks…but…So headed to HC while the FQex line was short….PB! Ouch! Just skier right slot – steep, smooth, cascading sheets of snow sliding down the slope on every turn! Dang I like that!...but the lines on REX and FQex grew to big to suffer…So I stayed up on empty HC…finally did the massive half an hour traverse out to Hamburger (below the Throne), not really that great skiing, but no lift lines…and every run out that way got easier and faster and FUN?
Finally around noon the REX line looked short enough…so back to the Hamster runs on REX….(oh did I say how awesome skiing PB and BP’s was – did it as many times as I could and it was always great). Once I got back on the REX time line (single or bouncing up the main line from three to the next three), fun times again…GV Bowl easy bouncing carving packed pow and then the bonus of skiing the gully between M-World and SunnySide! Great spring soft slushy happy! Ouch fun kinda combo! Biggest lift lines I’ve suffered this season, but still not that bad with a little of brain smarts. Great day, great skiing, lots of great conversations when I rode with folks on REX. Just a great happy fun day…I had two lungs, finally two legs and no having to be nice to anybody but me…
Other – CB lodge when I finally passed through early afternoon…packed and the soup was Triple C. Parking lots were full to the brim all the way to F. Somebody got a Elk in the front end down just after Mud Mountain straight aways (think they were heading down hill). Looked nasty this morning. Nice drive otherwise.
