Little word report – Another 6+ new smoke, cold, not much winds, light crowd all day, great groomers early with #1, great mid day left overs everywhere.
Full wordy report – Back to the cold temps and needing to work a little harder to stay warm. Good vis all day with some light smoke snow falling during the morning. Another no rush to find untracked snow kinda day. Skied lines from PB to E with a run down the Gap with #1 (makes her happy). Lots of early easy untracked boot deep untracked early on FQex (never saw a line there all day even during the typical rush hour time mid morning). Still rocks in places…cold smoke just don’t bound to rock very well.
Other – CB lodge had Chicken Noodle for me again today! Pay lot was weekend massive (extra space for all those HHWF buses – 8 of them) and weekday empty. C lot maybe ¾ full, B had cars to the shuttle stop. Drive up and down was pleasant. Another fun day – other than maybe to cold for “old” folks like me.

More fill-in-the-gaps. Best runs today were Employee Housing, Eagles Drop, Breakover, and Rex chairline top into chute 1. All had untracked over and over again. Chute 1 was the surprise as we skied that in the afternoon.
The pay lot was huge to allow space for the busses for Military Appreciation Day.
Traffic Soup: Through the Claw at 7:15. No traffic and at the limit. No Elk. Trip home had to pass a couple white knuckle drivers going 25 on the blvd at the long straight, but after that all was good.
What a year it's been!

yup on all of the above and let me add Northway skied very well, spook hill, knee deep and just soft everywhere. Willie's Run real good. Grub Stake skiers left, money, looked down into Rinky dink, just too short to dive in, saw the Big Red Coat Everest guy following a younger pro up the hill, say it ain't so, BO your a stud and nothing will change. I enjoyed the boot top all day long, it felt deeper, Lucky shot trees, fun bailed early, legs just can't do what they want to do any more.....The ride up was the most frustrating ride up the hill I have ever had in the 27 years of doing the 410 boogy, Listening to Trump BS his way through this press conference was just about the most BS I have ever heard in the short time on this planet. Rant done and as soon as I opened the door to my car and breathed in the 19 ' air, I was fine. On my way out to E lot, ran into Jen, chatted with her for a long time and got caught up on all the right people in both of our lives, she said, "hey, throw your shit in the truck and I'll drop you off at E" she is a class act and Crystal is lucky to have such a fine person, wearing their hat.

I’ll just pile on with Life is Good. No crowd, deep snow in the know-your-weather places - All day.
Amigoette caught a tip in a wind-packed cornice and high sided into a near tree well experience. With 2 of us, it took 10 minutes to extricate, find equipment, and reload. Some deep stuff out there, be careful.
Downside: the guy that flipped us off because his pickup couldn’t go over 20mph on a 50% snow covered Crystal Blvd.

...yep, what they said (except that we listened to music on the ride up)...no lift lines, cold temps, a little bit of sun around 1 pm, ski where ever you wanted, true top to bottom powder skiing...from the North's White Dragon to South's Elizabeth Creek drainage -- a TREEmendous day, very easy to find boot top and untracked...the rocks atop C6 situation is much better, although sidestepping is still needed a tad to access the ridge on skier's right of Powder Bowl...only two mis-turns all day for my crew (i.e. a lower Pucker's cliff-out, and a pulsating whoops not that way in Shelbyville)...when did skiing become so easy?
