The day started with sunshine and a “moving fog bank” at the top of Pine Martin lift. We still have a couple of tickets. The base of the lift had that scratchy edge sound. Hmmm. We rode the lift and headed in the easterly direction. The upper lift was not open, but it was clear and that side of the mountain was sunny. So we rode the base lifts on that side and had great corn snow. There was a race under way. The starting area had fog and each racer had to wait for the fog to clear to start. The Northwest lift was closed due to the icy conditions and the fog on that side of the mountain. After 3 hours of sunshine the runs were getting slushy, and it was time to move. It was interesting to see one half of Bachelor covered in fog and the other half sunny with corn snow.
