Crystal - 03/26

Another day and another very nice day all in all….looked a little variable on the high cloud cover early, but all went nice and warm and blue – great conditions to watch the comp on the Throne late morning and mid day….that and the demo day explained the way big parking in A lot early (I thought it was early for a late season Saturday). No noticeable lift lines today, very nice grooming on LS (the best) and MIFB…Hamster treadmill expanded big time today from way GV Bowl/MIFB north (ha ha) to for me way south on top of the King (Yee Haa myikat – sorry you missed my lung busting hike out there). Did it during the 10am hour…nice and sunny, a little to warmish, and my boots felt like ice skates on parts of the hike. Big views (did you know that you can see all of Crystal from way out there), did Braindamage (looked good, was challenging for me – should have done Appliance), DFF was still nice enough left over’s (must have been BIG yesterday). After my unusually big effort out South, went back to lazy Hamster skiing…PB and BP’s, GV bowl and MIFB or lazy easy LS runs. Legs were tired today – so sad…long season lots of days and wimpy muscles…

Other – Big Bonus Day 2 at CB lodge… another nice bowl of Chicken Noodle…had it after the King trip, allowed casual old person recovery time watching those young ones skiing the Throne! Nice. Parking was pretty full in the Crystal lots today, Pay lot made a big effort, C lot nice and tight full, B lot lots of widely spaced rows of cars, D and E full…must have been a lot of folks at Crystal today – based on the Bucket line when I left anyway? Great fun almost spring day. Better snow than expected - especially in PB. Survived the big south excursion to the King – must have been a great day! Coombas had another very Happy Day…All have a great Easter!

My Man! Once a year ain't bad. Yesterday was sick off the King. Would have loved to watch the crazies today huckin big air.

There is a really big cornice on the Silver Basin side of Three Way Peak right now. One should probably avoid any time under it especially with the warming weather this week.
