My early morning report would have been ditto CD’s Tuesday report…but as always everyday is a different experience…Started kinda grey, early groomers (LS and MIFB) okay but not primo perfect, GV bowl doable with fairly good vis (turn left and drop in before the first Gondy tower)…but PB called and I got to say my first run even with pretty nice vis was not one of my best – lucky for me that as the brain and body finally woke up it got better and better and the vis and some pretty bright sun at times helped a lot to make it pretty high on the Hamster treadmill paths for today. GV bowl and MIFB were a close second as the sun heat got MIFB nice and fast soft carving fun. PB and high speed LS runs were the big one for me – just nice enough and middle PB slot top to bottom was getting happier for the BMW’s all day….kinda expected a short day based on random forecasts…but every time I thought the day was over the sun would pop out again…and #1 was having a longer and stronger day for her this afternoon – thanks to still good soft snow and the “private” empty almost Yellowstone Club crowds….crowds? Season looks to be over for most folks…Did one doable challenging run down Bearpits…a little more traffic would help – any snowboarder side slipping groomer types out there? Sorry! Was a little sticky down low as we were leaving...
Other – Soup at CB lodge was the pretty typical Tomato Bisque…Parking was also typical in the A lot (that Super Computer that works the lot layout is definitely showing its age this year). No lift lines, no crowds, season is over – sadly only 3 and a half more weeks to go…before Whistler becomes the place to go. Things are definitely getting more late season casual at Crystal…Fun day – dddduuuhhhh!...Better than expected as usual…After the next “big”snow storm…hopefully we can go to a dry spell for the rest of the season locally.
