Late report from what was actually for me a sorta shorta kinda daya….All over the place on what was expected, what happened, what was reality (mine) kind of day. Light early crowd, big winds up top, slow lifts, big sun (huh????), big loaded soft snow on the northish sides of slopes, some groomers nice (LS), some started kinda nice and ended up kinda firmy ice bally (MIFB), some really really BIG luck today when I headed over towards CB lodge around 10:30 to do an early soup check….HC spinning, oh its loading!, soup can wait….Two big happy sunny smooth screaming soft fun runs down PB!!! Gotta say it was the primo unexpected bonus of the day….Things started closing in after that BIG fun, started getting greyer, snowier, windier again….Did a few fast Hamster runs on REX and called it a happy Saturday in March. Not any real lift lines where I was during the day, but they might have been large in the Valley late morning, based on the crowd around. And oh yes I did have lots of FUN!
Other – Soup at CB was another bag of Tomato Bisque (AGAIN! Never ending). Lodge was packed when I last passed through – lots of $’s being spent. The A pay lot was fuller than normal, but not enough buses…rest of A crammed, B maybe 4/5’s and C, D and E pretty full up….so it was a nice fair crowd.
Other Other – Heard a lot of bombs out South mid day before I left…it looked pretty primo smooth on most of the King in the early morning sunny light…gotta been some nice turns out there today. Some other folks should post about North? Must have been good big in places?
