Perty Primo conditions all in all at the Big Brother South Resort today….Lots of sun, a few snow clouds blew through every once in a while….but mainly great hamster conditions in the core treadmill today. Lifts started loading early and it might not have been all that perfect early – groomers (LS and MIFB) were not perfect…but GV bowl was prime smooth with new…MIFB was prime corn smooth (on the half that was groomed – other half of small happy bumps was even more prime with the new soft covering) by 9:30 in the sun. PB was a early run that was big happy on the top half and a little challenging for the BMW’s (and definitely me) on the bottom half – but with the massive traffic skiing PB today by 10:30 it was the prime soft carving happy winter zone. The other main run for me was GV Bowl (packed pow smooth) and MIFB (perfect soft corn early and perfect soft deep mush in the early afternoon). Got lucky and bumped into BINX and his crowd – they made me go down Elk Bowl to Kellys Gap to Lower E early afternoon – gotta say if you have to do T2B runs it was pretty nice (finished my day down that basic same path, but did GV Bowl to start!!!). Bailed out kinda early to save some leg for #1 tomorrow and since another cloud was blowing threw with lots of SNOW falling? Snowed a bit today, but never enough to be noticeable on the slopes. Just about the perfect right amount of everything, sun, heat, cold, light winds, no crowds….Happy almost end of season Sunday (for most folks). Heard big fun was had on Saturday (I almost went) and also last Thursday (I almost went then to…getting kinda old and lazy about the commute).
Other – Soup at CB lodge was not soup again? Beef Stew? Hear tell it looks good. Only lift lines that I bumped into today was a little pucker on FQex – though I only rode REX, HC, FQex and CHex (twice)…so who knows what the rest of the Crystal world was like. Looked like the Bucket had a pretty good back up when I left (it is free these days). Parking in the A lot was pretty typical, B looked half+ full and C was close to full, cars in D and E. So there were a few folks on the mountain today – lots of tourist in line for the bucket. Great Day, Great Fun, Glad I went. (that’s a lot of G’s)
