Very nice left over day ….and it was really really left over. Heard a lot of early morning “Where were YOU yesterday?”…doing chores. Also heard big crowds and big lift lines in hot spots (HC). Left over today? Every visible square foot of snow from the King to at least ElkSnort area was hammered by yesterdays crowd…also heard early that it got really warm on the Sunny slopes yesterday – I did not do any of those slopes (even to double check how bad its gotten….didnt see many folks repeating on the front side of REX – actually didn’t notice anybody anytime – other than the patrol. But there was lots of goodness for my treadmill routine. Early Lucky and MiddleIceFerkBerg (better today), then on to PB’s with the good early vis. One run out towards the Throne (Hamburger), nice snow that will get better with more traffic. Best for me was PB skier right off the top…even got Mr Ferk to do a repeat with me (though it was starting to snow for the repeat). Tried Outer Ferks again today…sorry not good for me…to many skied out ice patches….Good snow in GV Bowl, West Face, Ann’s (!) and parts of Elksnort area – my fav down low skier right of the main groomed line. Some crowd but only minimum lineage on REX during the 10:15 rush and some on FQex (with vary lazy Patrol line control…its been a long season already).
Other – Soup was the Triple C and since I was being social with the Ferks I actually had a bowl – regular customer sized bowl and it was very good….wow! Pay lot was not full as usual, Bus lot had a lot of space, rest of A, C, D and E lots all full, B lot was maybe 2/3rds full. Ultra light crowd compared to yesterday. Heard the little food store at the base set a all time sales record…the number was pretty impressive….Life is good for the financial department this year. Yee Haa another great day.
