Another Hamster day in the Treadmill of Crystal…jumped onto a pretty empty CHex at 8:45 – kinda grey looking (weather arriving early?)…quick lens change for grey world and then the low clouds parted (always happens when you plan for the worst), views around the Rainier Donut Hole opened up…a few screamer lonely groomer runs down the perfection of Lucky and MiddleIceFerkBerg(!)…Lookin at the Big Sunny Powder Bowl – it was very nice in the middle of the bowl. Okay, be good, meet #1, have some fun runs in the Valley (Anns – happy, Dan’s into Sandy’s – very happy)…working up to break time at CB Lodge, okay, nice mellow and a really happy Big Bonus of Chick Noodle soup – life is good a lot of times. PB was calling – finally (?) did the top gut slot for the first time this year (?). Freeway wide, okay snow with edges (maybe better 180 of my line)…but the then the bottom 4/5’s of the center!!!! Ouch! Gotta lap that again…Next cycle, better cause I picked my happy line non stop into even better BearPits (low gate, hard skier left)….Heaven….Gotta been one of my faster old age cycles! Back to mellow, skied GV Bowl (nice packed pow), high speed perfect MiddleIceFerkBergs or Lucky Shot screamers….did try one of the last Doors – doable, but many folks would have been disappointed…it must have gotten really really warm in the sun yesterday. No lift lines, fair Wednesday crowd (way bigger than last week), started snowing some nice flakes around 11:30 and was noticeable by the time we left. Another fun day – what would you expect?
Other - As noted soup at CB lodge was Chicken Noodle and it was very good (probably not as good as either John or Deans…but they don’t bring me any). Lots of space for buses and there were at least 8 or so, Pay lot to big as usual, poor folks parking into the top of C…but not many anywhere else (except employees). A little (or a lot) new tonight will make tomorrow another Happy Day.
