Was starting to go through withdrawal symptoms so had to go on a Sunday…Surprisingly nice day….early load on CHex, light early crowd everywhere I was, still light enough crowd on the lifts I prefer all day (especially running the single system), some early freezing mist on the goggles the first couple of runs during a few fogy periods, but that went away and the sun came out and the vis got BIG! and PB called and maybe was not perfect easy – but it was pleasant enough for repeats (other folks on the lifts backed that up). Heard really big reports about Northway being fun and mostly good, LF and EH sounded big for one guy I talked to (he was heading out for his third cycle). Big sun made for some sunny slopes starting to go to happy mush! Not all the way and the window of mushyness was pretty short and it will not be very pretty early tomorrow…Groomers I did were very nice early and still skiable late. Lower Lucky was groomed from one side completely to the other side (Lucky Trees area). Never made it father north than GV Bowl or further south than half way to the Throne – pretty much another lazy Hamster kinda day.
Other – Soup at CB lodge was not soup, it was Vegy Beef Stew?? Probably good. Lift lines were pretty mellow (don’t know about GV or NW, but maybe BINX will let us know?). Pay lot was big and the bus space was bigger, but it got filled with cars at some point today. B, C, D and E all pretty packed full. Pretty fun Sunday in the Sun (most of the time in the sun).
