Perfect bonus day for this Hamster…Arrived close to the front of the Cheap part of the A lot – behind a way to what the ? sized pay lot? As the guy that worked the pay lot in the past would always say, “Think the Super Computer malfunctioned today”. Casual wait in the lodge for CHex to start loading. First snow flakes falling as I jumped onto a very empty chair…and it continued to snow and snow and sometimes snow hard all day. Early good vis in the open bowls disappeared pretty early, winds picked up blowing at the top of REX and Windy/Powder Pass, but most places I worked in the Hamster Treadmill were nice and mellow and getting deeper all day – slowly but enough to cover my previous tracks. Total Hamster day for me….skied a few high speed groomers early (MidFerks and Lucky), then spent the rest of the time working Grubstake Trees to GV bowl (when you could see it) to Sunnyside to many many repeat Doors (especially the last few), to Lucky Trees (Coombas would have been happier there), to fun wacky all over the place cut bumps in OuterFerks, to easy happy fun untracked Bearpits, to my first time this year K2 run…Never went up Chair 6 since the fuzzy vis looked bad (should be big in PB tomorrow). Snow quality was great with the dusting last night and the all day snow today. Lots of wide open areas should be happy tomorrow…I spent my day close to those nice green trees. Only rode a lift with one other person all day - Thanks Hugh (sp?). Would thank JW…but he was never in my world….ha ha.
Other – Soup was Tomato Bisque AGAIN! What? Gotta be three days in a row….Socialized with some hard cores in the CB lodge. Other than that it was a solo non stop tree bump run kinda day.
Other Other – Pay lot was not full( ps …on busy days not all the cars in the Pay lot at the end of the day actually have pay lot permits). Bus lot was even emptier. All the cars including employees could have parked in the A lot – if not for the wasted space…
