Crystal - 01/15

Well it wasn’t yesterday, but still a mighty fine day….a little greyer early, but most of the day was pretty nice vis with some interesting views off towards Rainier. Crowd was reasonably light for a Friday. What groomers that I did on the upper mountain were nice. Some of the lines I did yesterday were a little firmer and crunchier. But in bounds in the Hamster treadmill area the best was PB/BP/OF today – worth many repeats for me. Never noticed any lift lines – though FQex had some operator problems late morning that caused the biggest stand around line I noticed – lucky the smart folks showed up and got things spinning again. Heard lots of good things about out South and also in Rainier…best of the season…at least this month. Typical fun day. Ready to sleep in tomorrow and rest up.

Other – Soup was once again the Garden Vegy (actually paused long enough to have a bowl with Mr Ferd – the soup had just the right amount of spice to make it tasty…rumor is they’ll have Chicken Noodle for me on Sunday – YEE HAA if it happens with the added bonus that the Seahawks will be playing – keep going Hawks!)

Other Other – Pay lot was typical for the season both early and late. C had fair number of cars, B had single widely spaced rows that might have qualified for a 1/3 full.

As the incoming front couldn’t push over the Cascade Crest as forecast, we lucked out skiing partly cloudy to partly sunny skies. For the saturday crowd, the expected new snow stayed away. Took some time for my legs to adapt and figure out that yesterday’s sun turned the sunny aspects to thick, weird, junk. But, shady aspects are still in great shape till you hit wednesday’s rain level. Hamburger, Powder Bowl, Bear Pits, and “Outer Ferk’s” won the day. OK, Bear Pits was the place to be as the traverse to Hamburger is a wild ride and full of slow pushing folks. GV Bowl-Iceberg-DeerFly provided some T2B goodness for resting.

Beware, someone messed with my pack at the Rex rack. Didn’t take anything, but reset my lock combo to 0-0-0

They were spinning the combo and just left it on 0-0-0. That's not it luckily. And the big thing, I'd already drank my hidden beer so they didn't get that.
