Merry Christmas, a great BIG happy day at Crystal – mostly. Light early crowd, early load on the Bucket (but CHex and REX upload arrived top side at the same time as us again). Vis was in and out early in various places, more sun and broken clouds all day. Snow was cut up packed lumpy in places and sweet easy carving packed/untracked/pillows in other areas. Skied from slots one and two off of HC to PB(very happy nice!) to Bearpits and OuterFerks(also very nice) to Lucky Trees, to a number of Doors, SunnySide a few times for JD, to Grubstake(happy dropping), Ann’s run(sweet), all the way out North (huh? – got that out of the way for the season or at least the rest of this year, it was a nice quiet pleasant slow ride on NW). Ended the day with a couple of Valley to Kellys to Lower E (been a while since I ended my day with the BIG top to bottom verts). Great day, great light crowd, great no lift lines, great skiing for the Coombas (I do like those easy wimpy skis – anybody got any for sale?)
Other – Passed through CB lodge and YEE HAA the soup was Chicken Noodle! Wasted a bunch of time savoring that break.
Other other – Lifts all still running without PSE juice….REX was almost painfully slow, GV was running at a nice speed, HC has some issues right now running on diesel – so it was load every other chair, even though there was not enough folks to load every other chair?).
Other other other – Pay lot was massive again and equally empty when I left, rest of A and C full, B pushing the edge and D and E had lots of folks. Lots of walk up tourist today, so the up and down load of the bucket looked kinda full.
