Our anniversary trip to Cascadia Inn and the slopes was well timed. On Sunday we left the car at 4 pm; it snowed all evening. Snow coverage built steadily as we skied under the lights. Oddly, Skyline closed about 7 though Brooks and Hogs remained open.
Stevens has excellent lighted terrain! Volume, variety, some steeps.
Monday we left the car a bit after 9, and there was deep stuff everywhere. The big lines were at Guest Relations and the ticket windows, never on the lifts. We ran into alecapone briefly, and Jason Oppler joined us for the day. Another soon-to-be-local tele skier, I was honored to show him a secret spot or two. The trees are filling in well, and it snowed hard all day.
Both days were deeper than anything we got all last season....
