Any hard cores that were not up on the mountain today probably have already looked at the telemetry and Crystal site to know the sad details – big nasty winds. It was howling windy at Mud Mountain Dam, it was snowing all the way up, with packed snow on the road from at least Greenwater. The crowd was fairly light, but with all the powder hounds around the untracked accessible from CHex and FQex was rapidly cut up. It was snowing pretty hard all morning. Snow quality was very nice, but the warm temps right now may impact that for tomorrow. Today made me even sadder about being nice yesterday (and also quitting a little to early). No lines on CHex and just mostly close to full chairs on FQex (with a lot of very wide bodies).
Other – Pay lot was Holiday immense and typically empty when I left. Rest of A lot was full, cars parked in C (mostly by the shuttle stop), a few rows in B lot. Soup was Tomato again! Dang they fibbed to me (I had even brought my own soup spoon). Wonder what week old tomato soup tastes like? Should be busy tomorrow even with the somewhat warm temps.
