Lordy lordy – a lot better than even the most casual guesstimates….Maybe not a thigh deep Powder Hound wet dream…but based on my limited late morning break and the immense still untracked left over in the nice sunny conditions….think the follow on reports to mine should be orgasmic in nature about today. Arrived at the nice nobody is skiing today time around 7:45am….nobody in the First Tracks bucket line (actually nobody in line at all – personally a big mistake). But since today was #1’s second day up, it was a be nicer than most folks think I can be kind of day….Think I earned at least 25 brownie points, 15 Gold stars and who knows how much good karma for the future. Anyway, FQex groomers where excellent with nice untracked on the edges, the crowds were light – actually pretty much nobody on the slopes. Snow quality is fantastic. Kinda grey early, but the clouds parted and the vis was really really nice and sunny. Got my big break around 10:30 – Sunnyside (still lots of nice left over lines), PB!! and Bearpits (also still nice left over untracked lines, time for one more, so cycled OuterFerks! Great narrow, entertaining run, though the BMW’s driver was still not driving them perfectly. Finished out a short day with #1 again…she had a great second day (and she’ll be having a hard time walking tomorrow).

Other – Soup at CB lodge was Tomato (again! had that two days ago)…but I was promised some Chicken Noodle tomorrow – ouch a powder day with soup! Pay lot was to big as usual, to rest of the A lot had lots of cars parked really tight (I had to work to get out of my space), some really weird C lot parking (not a lot, but it was weird). Roads snowy this morning, but easy screamer out today. Saw a SP guy on the Blvd just as you start the big drop down to 410. And somebody got pulled over by an undercover car around Greenwater somewhere. Great day even with my niceness. The next couple should be really really BIG

Very surprised by the light crowds today for a HHW Wednesday. As ddk said, pay lot was week-end big and only 1/3 full when we left. Jeez, I wish Crystal would get that right. The entire mountain is skiing really well. The cold 4 inches of snow they got last night was boot top deep in many locations. About mid morning, went to get some soup. Sampled the Penny Dog soup in Northway. Deep, creamy light, and no chunks. Delicious. After several helpings, went to the other side of the lodge and sampled some bear in the pits. Very fulfilling, but probably due to the many helpings. In fact, by the afternoon, there were still some really nice lines left.

Another great day. I'm liking this El Nino so far.

Duplicate CD’s post. Mid-boot, boot-top, shin-deep, nearly knee-deep as yesterday’s crowd left awesome untracked under the new snow. Bear Pits was the close-in call till Northway went green. Penny Dawgs (it’s Dawgs) and Pucker’s Right, even Sphincterville, were filled in deep.There’s still some “obstacles” in places - a lower Northway Bumps high side fall had my left hip bone land on a stump and now I’m sitting on the ice pack, replaying deep Bear Pit pow. Sweet. Got my season pass holder hat. Now I look like a BIG TIME LOCAL, yea.

The reason there was so much good stuff today was that Tues was so foggy that only Northway wasn't Braille skiing. Tried to go south of the top of Rex and it was vertigo inducing. Great stuff all over. We're the place to be in the US, seems like. Too bad I'm going to the Southern Hemisphere for three weeks. Oh well!
